America … I am sick and tired of coming across bad grammar, misspellings, and general laziness when it comes to our language. I’m not perfect, and I don’t know anyone who is. But please — proofread!!
Here’s an example — a friend of mine (who, ironically enough is a stickler for spelling herself) recently got married. My husband and I were waiting for the ceremony to start, and saw the resort employees putting up decorations for the cocktail reception.
We saw this sign at the same time.
I mean, come on!! COKtail? That’s just asking to be mocked. And I will comply.
And I see stuff like this every day …
Just 24 hours after the Coktail Reception, I was in a Publix supermarket, when a mistake caught my eye.
As I read on … I realized that it wasn’t just one error, it was two.
Put them together, and you have one big mixed message. I doubt the company would appreciate this. It would not be GLAF.
Now, for the record … the idea for this blog came from another fabulous website.

It’s The “Blog” of “Unnecessary” Quotations, and it is a great place to go if you’re looking for a laugh. I’ll keep an eye out for other funny signs in America, and if you see one — take a picture and send it my way!
