And here’s why … aren’t they amazing? My wonderful husband sent me these lilies on Valentine’s Day, and since it was the first time he’s sent me flowers — I was just happy for the thought! But when I got them, the buds were mostly closed up, and the arrangement actually looked pretty small in the big vase that came with it. I filled the vase with water, dumped in the powder that came with the arrangement, and went about my day. Even 24 hours later, the buds were still closed up and it didn’t look like anything was going to happen.
Then I walked into the office today and the amazing smell from the lilies hit me as soon as I walked in the door! I couldn’t believe how much they had opened up, and everyone keeps coming into my office and sniffing them.
I think I’m actually glad that they seemed like duds for a couple of days, because this was a great way to start my week.
Ahhhh…he is definitely a keeper.
