28 Goals for 28 Years

by Katy on March 17, 2008

Tomorrow is my birthday — hooray for me! And I’ve spent my final day of being 27 thinking of what it will mean to be 28. It’s amazing to think about, because I remember being 13, 18, 21 and thinking that anyone over the age of 25 was truly an adult. I never imagined getting there. Now 25 seems like so long ago, and 30 is looming.

So, am I where I wanted to be at 28? In many, many ways, the answer is yes. I am married to a man I love beyond words, I own a home, I have a great job. I have committed to a healthy lifestyle, and I’m in better shape now than I was at my last birthday. I’ve made good financial choices, and have a lot to look forward to.

But, of course, there are a lot of things that I would like to do, and others that I would like to change. So, I thought I’d volunteer a list of things to try and accomplish by the time March 17th, 2009 rolls around. It’s 28 goals for my 28 years.

(By the way … this could only happen in Florida … after writing that intro, my blog was delayed because a lizard made his way into my house, to the second floor, and into my bedroom. 15 minutes later, he’s now back where he belongs — no thanks to me, who jumped up on the bed and watched the extrication from afar.)
