I can’t believe another year is almost in the books — where did 2008 go? So much has happened, and yet it feels like it flew by. 2009 should be a good one, and I’ll post my resolutions soon so YOU can all help me be accountable!
Foodwise, it’s been a saucy couple of days. No, seriously saucy. Lucas made some *delicious tomato sauce on Sunday, but it doesn’t hold that well, so we’ve had pasta with sauce; sausage with sauce; potatoes with sauce … saucy sauce sauce sauce. We love sauce.
(Is it wrong that I seriously considered Photoshopping a jar of our sauce into his hand? I restrained myself.)
I don’t have any good pictures of the sauce in use, but I do have some pictures of the ingredients, a la A Year of Crockpotting:
And, because it seemed appropriate, a wider shot with my Italian art in the background:
We’re almost done with it now, so look for more creative food posts, soon.
Today I had a repeat of yesterday — spinach salad, grapes … plus some yummy watermelon. I would post the picture but Meghann has shamed me into a New Year’s resolution of taking better blog shots. So I’ll spare you the blurry camera phone version and promise to do better from now on.
But I WILL post one picture, because it cracks me up. The guys in the office tease me a little bit about taking pictures of my meals, and they’re the ones stuck listening to me talk about all of my healthy foods.
So today, I took pictures of what THEY were eating. Bill brought an amazing salmon salad, along with an apple and the cutest little cup of dressing. But the picture (gasp!) is missing! So I’ll have to see what he brings tomorrow, and document that. Another picture did make it, so here’s what Marc had today:
Oh, it looked and smelled so good … he certainly looks proud of himself here, doesn’t he!
That’s it for now — hope you enjoyed your 2-post day. I’ll leave you with a picture of my two fat cats, doing what they do best … chillin’.

lol, this is great, Katy!
Happy New Year!
xoxo
