For some reason, frogs just seem to love me! That guy greeted me in my doorway — then just as I was about to take a second picture, he flew at my face and bounced off my forehead!
Remember the frog-in-the-toilet incident? Shudder.
Living in Florida has given me a newfound tolerance for all things creepy, but it’s still weird to find these creatures so close.
This has been a busy, stressful week — I leave for vacation on Friday, to go to this piece of heaven:

That’s the house my family owns, up in Maine … right on the water. When I was a kid, I dreaded trips to Maine. 5 hours in the car with my family, combined with mosquitoes, lots of outdoor time and seafood (which I used to hate) — ugh!
But now, as an adult, I love going to the house. I bond with my family, I sleep late and go to bed early, I eat lobster, mussels and homemade meals and generally recharge my batteries.
Lucas loves it too — this is a picture from our last visit, two years ago:

I told him we can try and visit a few breweries while we’re there, so he’s a happy beer blogger.
And I get to see one of the most important women in my life — my lovely grandmother:

But, before I can go on vacation, I have a crazy week to finish up with a ton of work! I’ll be multi-tasking some work while watching The Biggest Loser tonight. But first, tofu tuesday is ready to start…see you soon!

Aw, have a great trip to New England!
Frogs gross me out too. One jumped in our house the other day and I almost had a panic attack. And earlier this evening my dog tried to chase one. Thank goodness he was on a leash!
I love rec’ing your post in my emails daily!! I think you really have a great thing going and I will continue to be a ‘lurker’ on your site-great work, great site…it says a lot and dang aren’t you lucky to have a great guy like Lucus!!
That frog flew at your face and bounced off your forehead? What?! I don’t know what I would have done? Things like that freak me out! A bird pooped on me a couple of summers ago as I was walking into a restaurant for dinner with friends. I thought it was kinda funny but a little grossed out, too. And I kept thinking I smelled like birdie feces
The first pic of the froggie was cute though! Your Maine house is beautiful! I hope you have lotsa fun and get lotsa TJ’s goodies!
Perfect time of year to be in ME. Have a fabulous, relaxing trip!
cute frog…cuter house! Family vacations are the best! Lucky you!
Great job climbing tonight! I know you’ll get that boulder route next time!
