Meet the new me:
That’s what happens when you’re almost 30 and you find two gray hairs in one night. Thank you, L’Oreal.
So, Thursdays are my busiest of the week — I’m slammed at work, have to run home and catch up on back episodes of Teen Mom and Law & Order SVU work out and make dinner, then I host a live Twitter chat. They’re also my favorite, because I am a girl that thrives on deadlines.
And on Green Monsters, like I had for lunch today.
I’m also a girl who finds inspiration and motivation from fellow bloggers, so here are some of the men and women making me go “hmmm” today.
- Diana from The Chic Life: Her Online Bake Sale for Haiti blows me away. I was so inspired that I signed up as a blogger, along with dozens of others. Stay tuned for details on how you can get my Whole Wheat Molasses Bread (it’s so good, especially as croutons) and other yummy treats.
- Emily from The Front Burner: Her answer to The Vegetarian Question not only made me understand her lifestyle better, it inspired me! Lucas and I are not vegetarian, but we eat mostly veggies and grains, so I really related to this post.
- Ashley from Healthy Ashley: Since I’m blessed to know her in real life as well as the blog world, my heart broke when she Tweeted that she had suddenly lost her job. But after reading this post, I knew she’d pull through with a smile on her face.
- Dori from Dori’s Shiny Blog: Another amazing girl; another amazing idea. Her online auction is raising money for a great cause, and one that is close to many of our hearts.
- Lindsey from Sound Eats: She says life is like a pomegranate, and after seeing her explanation — I agree!
- Jen from A Prior Fat Girl: If you don’t think this girl has a huge heart…I don’t want to know you. And she’s beautiful even when life hands her a crap sandwich.
- Katie from Chocolate Covered Katie: She’s giving away a VitaMix and if I didn’t already love her and her fudge babies, I’d be falling for her now.
And, I can’t make a post like this without some love for the family, so:
- My poor Massachusetts mother is lamenting this week’s Senate election. RIP, Ted Kennedy.
- My darling, unemployed, beer-blogging and -brewing husband just redesigned his site. ALL BY HIMSELF!
- My brilliant brother now has two blogs — one about his life, one about his cat. Don’t make me pick a favorite.
- My aunt Patti just posted an updated on her awesome Seattle-area farm! It makes me want a cow. In Orlando. I know.

Thank you SO much, I really appreciate your help! So awful about Massachusetts, huh? Sigh… And I LOVE your dark hair! I just love dark hair in general. Maybe because I've got it!
Aww you're so sweet!
And I just saw your vegan week page… I like your idea even better than my Vegan Thursdays!
Too bad I missed it… but I WAS technically a vegan that week, so I didn't really miss it, right?
Love the hair!
Love the hair!
Are you doing an explanation of the hash-tag/live Twitter chat soon? Please? How do you join one, what are they, etc?
Love your new hair do!
And the green smoothie action
I LOVE your new hair! The darker color looks great on you.
I found my first grey hair last night. I pulled it out.
Love your green sludge! I am also with your mom on the election this week – at least I voted!
LOVE the new hair! And thanks for the link back. I felt rather deep as I was breaking into my pomegranate the other morning.
Love the darker hair girly! Reminds me that I need to pick up a box of dye…
