For me, a break was always what I needed to regain motivation. Sounds like you need the brake too for your overall health!

I love that apron! I think you can still write a healthy living blog even while taking a break from exercising because you are still a mindfully healthy person! The longest break I've ever taken was probably when I had my wisdom teeth out. It wasn't too long (2 weeks) but it did feel like a major break for me. I was excited to work out after the break was over! I think a break will be good for you and make you excited to workout again!

I am so proud of you for listening to your body and your mind and doing what's best for both. I don't want you to think that because I rejoice in your marathons and swims and bikes that I think they are what you are. You are a talented, gifted, wonderful person and no single activity defines you.

Sometimes I think that the blog world is great..other times I think it can perpetuate this 'need' to constantly be moving. It can sometimes get obsessed with working out, eating clean and saying 'I don't mind if I eat a cookie'. I appreciate you being honest about where you are, not feeling guilty about it and finding joy in living.

I heart you..and your POM ta-tas :)

Everyone needs a break from fitness and training! I took one after the San Diego Rock n'Roll Marathon when i hurt myself...for over two months! Mine was a bit forced, but it helped me reassess what and how much I wanted to do in the future!

After a bust racing season this fall, I had to take a month off. I was burned out. I was dreading every run. I didn't enjoy it and every run felt nearly impossible. After some time off, I came back stronger (physically and mentally)...
