Speaking of conversation — I want to get to know you all better! So I thought I’d ask 5 easy questions, and get you to answer in the comments. C’mon, I know that you’re looking for something to do that doesn’t involve work (ahem, Hunch).
1) Would you rather have hot drinks (hot coffee, tea, cocoa) or cold (soda, ice water, wine)?
2) Is your ideal vacation somewhere sunny and peaceful or historic and exciting?
3) If you could choose any hairstyle, what would it be? Curly or straight? Long or short? Blonde, brunette or redhead?
4) Are you a dog person, prefer cats, like something smaller or just don’t like animals of any kind?

1) It depends on the time of day, but generally, I prefer hot drinks.
2) Tough one — I’ve had both experiences! But I think historic and exciting. With time for napping.
3) Long, blonde and curly (but easy to straighten).
4) I have two dogs and two cats but I’m definitely a dog person first.

You’re totally right about wanting something to do that isn’t work. I mean, I would never say that, but someone else might ; )
1. I’m gonna go with cold here. Love my hot chocolate, but there are just more cold options I prefer.
2. I’m all about the sunny and peaceful. But I’m assuming that’s sunny, peaceful, and warm though. I guess Alaska might count as sunny and peaceful too, but I’m not interested in cool temperatures.
3. Long, straight, and blonde. Which is almost the opposite of my long, dark, curly hair. I don’t hate it, but given the choice…
4. I’m a dog person all the way.
5. Angelina Jolie would be my first choice just because I’m a fan, not because she makes sense as me. But Natalie Portman looks a lot like me in her Zoolander cameo so she’s probably the best choice.
1. Depends on the season – winter, I prefer hot, but cold in the summer.
2. Definitely sunny and peaceful if I want a true VACATION, but just traveling, I like seeing anywhere I can!

Funny questions! Here we go …
1) Depends on outside temperature, but I usually have room temp to cold drinks.
2) All of it! I like diversity.
3) Wavy, long, and brunette. That’s what my hair looks like now, I’d love it to be even longer.
4) Cat person! But I like dogs, too, if they know how to behave. And I love our dorky fishies! (Yes, really!)
5) Rachel Weisz! She’s really pretty, and I think I look a little bit like her, on good days.

1. Hmmm… Unless I am in Australia the answer would be cold. I am borderline addicted to water, but I just about can do without hot drinks. Not that I’d want to… The game changes in Australia though, flat white coffee the Aussie way is just out of this world!
2. Historic and exciting! I have very little patience with relaxing in the sun… I blame my parents, actually I thank them. Without them I would not have learnt to appreciate history and nature and exploring for the sake of exploring.
3. Long, curly and black! None of which I have
nothing is stopping me from going black, but my hair seems to repel any sort of curling attempt…
4. My first love has always been wild animals, I do not wish to have them as pets at all. However growing up with a bird watcher and biologist for a dad does that sort of thing to you…

1) I’m definitely a big fan of hot drinks and am constantly drinking tea…and craving hot cocoa.
2) My attention span is that of a gnat, so historic and exciting is probably a better fit for me.
3) Straight and shiny red hair please! I’m tired of my disheveled looking (not *quite* straight) brown hair.
4) Doggies ALL the way! I have two of my own, plus one foster.

1) Since it still feels like winter here, I think the cold is making me want hot drinks…but my general preference is for cold. Especially beer. (’cause as Sheryl Crow said “i love a good beer buzz early in the morning”…)
2) I guess exciting and historic? My favourite vacations have been the ones where there is a lot to see, great food options, but also places to just sit and enjoy. Which is why San Francisco and Paris have been two of my favourites!
3) I love my brown hair, but I wish my natural colour was slightly darker. So I’d choose dark brown, straight (my hair is VERY straight already), and medium length. I like to have options!
4) I like them both and grew up having both…but if I had to choose, I’d pick the unconditional love of a dog versus the aloof “who me?” attitude of a cat.
5) My husband always says that Selma Blair should play me in a movie. I used to disagree, but she’s grown on me… So Selma Blair it is!

1. It depends on the time of day and the time of year…during the colder months I prefer hot hot hot..but in the hot humid days in MD..i’ll take an iced skinny caramel machiato anyday:)
2. When I take a vacation, I want warm sunny beaches. Having little ones, historic eventful vacations end up being more work than enjoyment. As they get older, I plan to take one historic/secretly educational vacation a year.
3. I love the color of my hair, it’s a rich brown with some great natural highlights..but I would love to have longer hair that had a nice natural wave to it.
4. I am allergice to dogs and cats..I love dogs..all sizes/breeds…but after even touching a dog..if I havn’t taken allergy meds that day…i start to break out in a rash and get all itchy..not to mention what happens to my eyes and nose..UGH

1) Cold drinks. Trying not to drink too much soda but I have an addiction to diet root beer.
2) Kind of both I guess? I have two places I want to vacation at : Kona, Hawaii to ride and run the Kona Ironman course which is really Sunny and after the suffering is kind of peaceful. And I’ve always want to visit Japan and spend a lot of time in Tokyo and the more historic places like Kyoto etc.
3) As my hairline is receding I’d just be happy to have more hair
4) Dog person! Grew up with an awesome dog and I’ve had two beagles since ‘going out on my own’! I dislike them when they pee on the carpet, but I still love them.

1) This questions is tough! I agree, depends on the time of day. I love my coffee in the morning, but enjoy cold water the rest of the day.
2) My ideal vacation would be sunny/peaceful. But since I have to take my husband along, it would probably have to be a mixture of both!
3) I love being a brunette. However, it’d be nice to have some natural curl that was easy to straighten for more diversity.
4) I currently have 2 cats, but cannot wait to get a dog! I definitely think I’m more of a dog person.

1) Like everyone’s saying, it depends on the day/season/etc., but whatever the beverage is, it either has to be VERY hot or VERY icy cold. I don’t like any of those in-betweeney temperatures.
2) Sunny and peaceful, definitely! I like a lazy, quite vacation.
3) I have blonde hair that’s fairly fine, and I like it most of the time, though it doesn’t really do anything or hold styling products well. So I’d say my current hair…but more awesome? Perhaps more like Reese Witherspoon’s shorter styles.
4) A dog person. I had a little one-eared mutt named Newt (who now lives with my parents) and I would pick him over any animal
5) I agree on Reese Witherspoon–funny, sassy…and she has the hair I want!
1. In the winter, I definitely want something warm to drink, but in the summer I LOVE ice water with lemon and lotsa smoothies!
2. My husband and I have 2 requirements for a vacation. 1. there has to be really good local food and 2. there has to be something fun to explore. However, with that said, our favorite trips are always to the beach. So I guess a combo of the two?
3. I’ve got long curly brunette hair, but I straighten it a lot. I like it because I can be curly or straight based on my mood.
I’m about to cut it short, though for the summer. I’m grateful to have hair that grows 8-10 inches every year so that way I can have it long in the winter and short in the summer. 
4. I like dogs and cats. But I think I’d say I like dogs more than cats. At least we have a dog and no kitties, haha!
5. Probably Anne Hathaway since I hear so frequently that I look like her.

3) Considering I just got my hair chopped and got highlights and low lights for the first time in my life yesterday, we’ll go with short with some color. I absolutely love it. I feel awesome, just in time for my 39th b-day on Fri.
4) I would say I’m more of a dog lover. I miss our Basset Hound and cat very much. And we currently have a turtle and Blue & Gold Macaw. I’m ready for more pets but Kev not quite yet. Boo!

1. It depends on whether I feel hot or cold, but generally I’m the one drinking iced coffee even when its snowing out.
2. Historic and exciting. My husband and I went to London and Paris for our honeymoon for the historical aspect instead of sunbathing on a Caribbean island. I do not regret it for a minute and would love to go back to London or Paris.
3. My ideal hairstyle would be medium-length hair, mostly blonde but with some strawberry blonde highlights, and wavy.
4. I love dogs. I don’t currently own one because I live in an apartment that prohibits pets. I want to get a Boston Terrier or a Bug (Boston Terrier and Pug mix). Ideally, I want a Siberian Husky, but my allergies can’t handle that much dog sadly.
5. I would have to say Kate Hudson. I don’t really look like anyone in Hollywood, but Kate Hudson is probably the closest.

4. I have a cat, but grew up with a dog and am much more of a dog person than a cat person, although I LOVE my cat. Dogs are just so much more affectionate.

1. i would have to say cold just because water is what i drink by far the most of. however, i’m not one to say no to hot coffee/tea in the morning or a nice cold beer after work!
2. i’d go with historic and exciting – i HATE being hot most of the time, so spending hours on the beach napping is NOT for me. maybe somewhere historic and exciting with a pool so i can get in a little sun.
3. long, thick, and dark. i’m 1/3 of the way there, i have long hair, but it’s mousy brown and super thin. *sigh*
4. dogs all the way!!! although at different points in my life my family has had countless cats, chickens, rabbits, pigs, horses, a goose (not a good idea), and a peacock!
5. this is a really hard question. i can’t really think of any actress that i look like at all, but i love kate hudson and zooey deschanel.

4. Dogs over cats but only if they’re smaller than 20lbs. I had a traumatic experience with a big dog as a little kid.

1) Cold. I’m especially loving iced tea right now. But whether it’s hot or cold, I like extreme temps. So it’s either gotta be burning hot (coffee, yum!) or ice cold (room temp water is a no go!).

I don’t think anything is private anymore! I have recently had some issues with my (newish) blog and work life. I heard through the grapevine that my reputation is that I spend all day on FB and Twitter — and I don’t do any work. Ha! I know that actions speak louder than words, but I did make it a point to blog about how automated blogging can be. I don’t actually write much at work – I mainly tweak stuff I’ve pre-written, but it made me think about how some people perceive reality and it totally popped my naive little bubble.
As for your questions…
1) Hot drinks — or at least room temperature! I do like my margaritas frozen, white wine chilled, and the occasional frothy beer.
2) Right now I’m going to go with peaceful. I do enjoy exciting and historic too though! It depends on how exhausted I am.
3) I have a mix between curly and straight and I’ve come to the realization that the grass is always greener. I do like my hair now (it’s taken a long time to accept) — although I’d like a little more red and a LOT less (pokey) gray.
4) I like animals, but I don’t want to live with them. I think some people feel that way about babies and kids and I totally get it. I would much rather raise humans

5) The only celebrity that remotely resembles me is Jennifer Carpenter (from Dexter) –so I guess I’d pick her. On a personal level I LOVE Jennifer Garner.
