It never fails…
I could barely force down enough food on Sunday to cover the calories I’d burned during the half marathon (nearly 1,600, according to my Garmin!), but since then…I’ve left no munchie behind. If I didn’t know better, I’d think I had a tapeworm because I’m insatiable.

Of course, I have NOT been working out enough to justify this level of hunger. Except for a brief ride on the bike trainer and some lunchtime walks, I’ve really given myself a break. It all changes this weekend as I go into triathlon training mode!

Random Thoughts
1. I know it sounds weird, but sometimes cheese does NOT make everything better.
2. I am on a mission to help my husband understand the difference between a starchy vegetable and a “real” vegetable.
3. Riding bike indoors, in front of the TV, is far superior to braving the summer heat.
4. I love wearing sneakers.
5. As much as I want to…I don’t like green tea.

My race was Sunday and the HUNGER hit with a vengeance Wednesday and Thursday. Hopefully my three-course dinner and after-dinner snack (!) put an end to that! I don’t like green tea either, and have giving up trying.
I used to hate green tea too but actually found one that is not too bad. I have a mug next to me right now. It is a cheap brand, maybe Lipton? Honey lemon flavored decaf.
Ah post-race hair…there really is no better hair than post-race hair
That’s what I need to learn the difference between starch and real vegetables and teach it to my boyfriend..
I’m always STARVING the day after a race. <3 Megan's Mission post!
I love cats in boxes. So cute! I wish my dog would be that cool.
I gotta tell you — I’m with you on the green tea. I try. I’ve tried forcing it — even giving up coffee for about a week in favor of green tea. Yeah, right. Just can’t do it. Give me SBUX!!!
I’m so happy you posted this. I’ve been insatiable all week and wondering when this will subside.
Definitely been taking it easy this week and plan to kick it into gear this weekend into next week. But man! I’m getting tired of eating w/o the benefit of full workouts.
Green Tea, I can’t get behind either. I try, just can’t like it. Berry/Fruit teas I can do though.
LOL. Iams hungry, too.
My husband would disagree with your random thought #3. He LOVES riding outside in the heat and is so bored of the indoor bike that yes, is parked in front of the TV. Our spring is coming really slowly, so many days are still too cold or too rainy.
Green tea is an acquired taste. I used to have to sweeten it (unless it was a fruit-flavored green tea), but now I drink it straight
That’s sad about the tea! I feel that way about beer and wine though.
I hate green tea too!
hmmmmm. I’m going to need you to elaborate on this “cheese isn’t always the answer” theory.
I’m skeptical.
Thank you for saying you think you have a tapeworm! I make this joke all the time and people usually look at me like I’m gross/nuts. But why else would I eat EVERYTHING in sight!!! Love love love. Have a great weekend!
