1. I got so homesick for Boston yesterday while listening to news coverage of the Boston Marathon (“New Englandahs use moah watah than any otha state in Americer…”) that I shelled out the $5 to watch the race live online.
2. I was so mad that the livestream stopped after the elite runners finished that I considered demanding my money back. I wanted to see the regular Joe and Jane runners!
3. I felt like a swag monster this weekend as I wore some new 4all samples during my run and these sweet New Balance kicks for walking around (all sent to me by the company for free, thank you muchly, FTC). I considered drinking down some Generation UCan samples sent to me by that company, too, but decided mimosas were better post-exercise treats.

4. I like New Balance for many reasons (cute shoes, cool company, Fitbloggin’ supporter) but mostly because the company partners with my beloved Red Sox.
5. I am jealous that Lucas now has Vibrams. Or, as he calls them, “toe shoes.”

6. All of the pictures in this post were taken on an iPhone despite the fact that we have a really nice point and shoot with a tripod, lightbox and more. Yet I still have DSLR on my wish list. Sigh.
7. After Lucas texted me this picture of Faegan with the caption “I want to ride with Mama,” I seriously considered buying one of those kid cages that you can attach to your bike and putting my 90-pound dog in it.

8. I have four high quality books on my nightstand waiting to be read but instead chose to re-read four (!!!) Nora Roberts books by the pool this weekend.
9. This beer tap gave me the giggles.

10. It took me two hours to write yesterday’s post on self-hosting. So head on over there and check it out, will ya?

There was no way I was spending $5 on coverage! Remember I am a poor college student
I bought some running capris and my mum bought a top from New Balance – we’re both very pleased with them
I almost bought Boston coverage too but I ended up being out of the house for most of the time so it wouldn’t have been worth it…especially if they ended with the elites!
Every time I see that someone has Vibrams I want to buy some too! Two of my students even wear them to school too!
I have totally seen people with dogs in those bike cages! Btw, your dog is adorbz.
i’m so with you on #8. story of my life!
No joke – I saw a biker with one of those pull things usually reserved for children with a dog inside on Sunday. I was dying laughing.
I would love some Vibrams! After my running shoes get worn out, I plan on trying vibrams with running. Can’t wait!
I’m too stylish to wear gloves on my feet, but I’ll take that tap. It’s awesome!
And teach your mutt to ride on the handlebars like I did mine.
I’m not sure my dog would stay still in the cage! Although he would totally love running along side a bike. When he was a puppy someone came up to him and said “you look like a great biking dog”. Very strange, but we’ll give it a go once he’s out of his puppy stage!
I’d love a pair of Vibrams, but my pinky toes won’t cooperate! sad story. But getting a DSLR is on my wish-list too
I saw a guy at Sea World with a pair of Vibrams. They looked SO comfortable and made me put it on my mental wishlist right away! Not so much for exercise, but as a way to get around!!
Boston is the best city; I love living here.
This was my first year though at the finish line and the crowds and the energy were insane. Crazy busy but I loved it.
I saw that statue in person once! haha.
I think I went in that “toe shoes” store when shopping with my daughter — is it in Boulder? We don’t have any digital camera since my daughter took hers to college – do you have a post recommending one?
