I freaking LOVE the word fabulous. In fact, maybe I should add it to my other favorite “F” words?

It’s not only fun to say, it just exudes happiness. My sparkly shoes are fabulous. My #Fitblog friends (blends) are fabulous. My dogs make me feel fabulous.
And you, fellow bloggers are fan-freaking-tabu-fabulous.
So it’s my great pleasure to shine the spotlight on five bloggers that inspire me every day (a hard choice, because I have more than 500 subscriptions in my Google Reader).
1. Peanut Butter Fingers
When you read about someone’s life every day, you feel like you know him or her. It can be a serious bummer when the blogger that you hear in your head is not the blogger that you meet in real life. Julie is just as sweet, funny, caring and kind as she comes across in her writing. And yes, she is just as stunning in person as she is in pictures. Plus, she’s a good hugger, has a lot to say and TRULY makes me feel fabulous.
2. In My Tummy
Sometimes when I read Lee’s posts, I wonder if she’s my sister from another mister. We’re about the same age, married, love dogs, and while we both like food and running, neither one of us is a food or fitness blog in the strictest sense. All I know is that when she stops by to leave a comment, I smile. And immediately head to hers.
3. Honey, I Shrunk the Gretchen
I am so lucky to have met this FABULOUS blogger at Fitbloggin‘ this year, and her smile is infectious. Her photos are stunning. Her fashion is off the chain. And yes, she makes me want to BE more fabulous. Go check out her website (especially her progress pictures — wowza!).
4. Beth’s Journey
Another instant BFF courtesy of Fitbloggin’ — and one of my favorite dance partners. Plus, I just want to play with her hair all day. Is that weird? Beth and I had a conversation that could have lasted for hours — all about branding ourselves as bloggers, finding our true voices, standing out in the crowd and paying it forward. I’m so inspired by Beth’s mission to help others lose weight and get healthy.
5. Marc Middleton
Now, before you start wagging your finger and accusing me of sucking up — yes, this is my boss and HE is the reason I can be fabulous here on the blog. Not only is he 100% supportive of what I do (he loves #Fitblog!) he inspires ME to be better. His blogs on the Huffington Post, especially “It Begins and Ends With Love” about raising two beautiful and successful daughters, will motivate you to find your passion. Here comes the sucking up. Find local listings of Growing Bolder TV, hosted by Marc and produced by me, on our awesome schedule page of GrowingBolderTV.com.
Your turn! Name one blogger that you think I should add to my Google Reader ASAP, and tell me why that blogger is so freaking fabulous.
Don’t forget to enter the 50 Fabulous Wishes contest for a chance to win $1,000 to celebrate a friend with a refreshing attitude about looking and feeling fabulous. I was selected for this Tropicana Trop50 sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do. I received compensation to use and facilitate my post.

If you don’t already follow her, you need to check out Jessica at How Sweet It Is (www.howsweeteats.com) Her blog and her style of writing is full of humour that I find incredibly easy to relate to, her sweet treats are out of this world and she can rock a pair of sky high heels like nobody’s business. She’s one of the first bloggers I started to follow and I look forward to seeing what she has to say & what sinful treat she’s concocted. I also love the stories about her hubby who sounds a l’il bit redneck just like mine! Plus she adds bacon to just about any food you can imagine, which doesn’t thrill me (I’m a vegetarian like you), but it makes the man in my life very happy.
katy, you just made my day! when i clicked on your post in google reader and my blog name was staring back at me, i was like, “what is going on!?” and then i read your beautiful post and your kind words and was left wanting to give you a big hug! thank you!
Wow I am so honored to have made your top five list Katy! I seriously wish we could rewind back to Saturday night… which reminds me.. I’ll be emailing you some pictures soon!
I wish we lived closer!!! =)
I love Lee as well – we are proud members of the Golden Retrievers Club (AKA we are both covered in fuzz).
I’m guessing she might be in your Reader already, but my blend BFF Katie Heddleston (http://katieheddleston.com) rocks my socks. I already knew she was awesome, but I was SO incredibly proud of her at Fitbloggin’ this weekend after she spoke on the Intuitive Eating panel. Now everyone else knows it as well!
Thank you! This totally made my day! (And Alicia’s comment above did too!)
Katy! I am so honored! Getting to meet you in person was absolutely one of the highlights of the entire conference for me!
And to echo Andrea’s comment above, a blog that I am particularly obsessed with is http://howsweeteats.com. Her food photos put mine to SHAME, and she’s like a thousand times funnier than me (hard to believe, I know, but it’s true.
)
I love your F words Katy
I wish I had thought of that!
Thanks to you I now have some new reading material. Awesome!
My favorite blogger is Mama Pea (http://peasandthankyou.com). She’s incredibly funny, and offers great (vegan) recipes and workout tips. I’ve made quite a few of her recipes yet, and they were all big successes.
love the list!! i will give a shout-out to my favorite ‘organizing’ blogs: http://simplemom.net and http://unclutterer.com . not strictly healthy living but so useful and interesting!
