Moooooooo (Cards)

My dog Junior is a mutt. A damaged, inbred, slow mutt.

And he is (sorry, Lucas) the love of my life.

Poor little underbite!

We have a lot of nicknames for Junior, because of his coloring (pink, black, white, spots) and his other, um, attributes (underbite, drool, snorts, crossed eyes, “magnetic” whiskers).

Pig.

Cow.

Bat.

Dog.

And he loves to talk — he howls, seemingly in response to noises. So I love to bark at him, make squeaky noises and — my favorite — MOOOOOO at him.

And that may, I’m sort of ashamed to admit, have been part of the tipping point when choosing my new business cards. I’m going to several social media and networking conferences in the coming weeks and wanted to replenish my dwindling supply of cards.

After a lot of research, a few stops and starts on the design process, and a few curses at how expensive these little pieces of card stock are, I decided to go with Moo Cards.

And I can’t be happier! Look how cute they are!

In the end, I went with Moo because I liked the design software a LOT, I liked the templates that were set up to use, I really liked the different options for card sizes and the quality of the cards seemed unbeatable.

When the cards arrived, they came in the cutest box:

And I was overwhelmed by how many I’d gotten. Hey, I’m a sucker for a bulk rate. The little pink thing in there is a card holder that I bought in addition to the cards — it clips onto a keychain, which I thought might help me actually remember to give these cuties out.

So if you see me in the coming months…make sure you ask me for a card, because they’re too cute to keep to myself!

(Bought these on my own dime, just to be clear.)

  7. This is so serendipitous for me. I was JUST having the biz card conversation with my husband. DO I hire a graphic designer, go with some template from Office Depot, research online…etc. Your cards turned out so cute I will have to check Moo out. I’m going to TechMunch in LA in sept, maybe we’ll meet one of these days at a bloggy conference. Thanks for all the social media tips.

I bought some self-designed postcard invitations on their site last week. I love how they came out and all the design options that are available.

  11. I have two boxes myself, Katy! LOVE LOVE LOVE them, and anytime one’s given out, I get compliments like you wouldn’t believe. Forget traditional business cards, these are definitely it. ;)

  12. Those little itty bitty cards are so cute. I went the traditional route and ordered some new business cards (with my new logo, whooo!!) which I’m DESPERATELY hoping will be here in time for the conference this weekend. Cross your fingers for me!
