Blog Homework: Day 7

I’m away from technology for a couple of weeks, but I didn’t want to leave you hanging. So for 14 days, I’m issuing you some homework. That’s right — you get to work while I get to relax. You can follow all of the assignments here. If you have questions, feel free to post in the comments…It may take me a while to respond, but I’ll be reading everything when I return!

Over the 14 days, I’m going to assign you some tasks that I think will help you streamline, organize, market and ENJOY your blog a little more. For the first five assignments, you’ll be asked to review your blog itself. You’ll get the weekend off, then five more assignments that are focused on helping you build your readership and social media community.

I love Twitter. I think it’s an amazing way to find new blogs to read, talk about issues, get support and more.

And, it can be an incredible way to bring people to your website!

Normally, I’d spell out some of the tips for finding people on Twitter, but I’ve already done that . Over and over. So instead, I’m directing you to:

Those should get you started. In addition, here are some great resources for more reading:
And of course, remember to follow @kwidrick, @growingbolder and @fitblogchats — all mine!
See you on Twitter!

Thanks for this very timely post! I realized after reading through everything over the span of a few hours that there were some Twitter faux pas that I have been very guilty of doing. I’m bookmarking this page and adding it to my blogroll as a reminder of myself to be more mindful about what I am Tweeting and how followers view my tweets. Thank you a lot! This explains a lot! I will definitely slow down with the advertising blog posts so many times a day, I really thought it was a great marketing tool but you’re right. From the other side it just seems “spammy”. So this is homework that will be ongoing.
