Bad Medicine

This article was so fascinating, I had to pass it on…and then ask for your opinion.

The Huffington Post headline reads:

Celebrity Beauty & Health Advice Is Often Wrong, Say Scientists

And the article itself talks about all of the stuff — crazy and not-so — that celebrities do and say when it comes to being fit, losing weight, eating right and basically, being fabulous.

Examples:

  • Miranda Kerr drinking four tablespoons of coconut oil a day (she says she was misquoted)
  • Gisele Bundchen not using “synthetic” sunscreen
  • Pippa Middleton washing her hair in cold water to “open the pores”

But guess what? In many cases, these celebrities are either sharing wrong information, or they’re passionate about things that science basically debunks.
