Beautiful Bodies

This is my fifth week posting in a special series for Glam Media and Aveeno, and I have to say…I’ve been looking forward to this topic. It’s all about sharing the ways that we improve, celebrate and push our bodies to be their best.

I’ve shared a lot of the steps in my personal journey, and I’m proud to say that when I’ve been my most honest and vulnerable, you have been the most responsive. Posts like:

all include pieces of my most recent struggles (and link to older posts that you might find interesting!).

I’ve talked some about the what, why and how…but now I think it’s time to share some of the real rewards of healthy living that I have been able to enjoy because of my decisions over the last five years.

1. I feel better in my own skin.

2. I have accomplished major athletic goals.

If you’re looking to include those three things as rewards of your own, TODAY is the day to start. Make a commitment right now, as you read this post, to choose health and happiness over the short-term rewards that food and sloth offer. Vow that you will take 30 minutes of your lunch break to walk. Trade your morning soda for ice water. Turn off the TV at night and put in a fitness DVD.

Small changes, big rewards. What can you commit to today?

    Hi!

Even though I am unable to find time to exercise I always ensure that I eat in moderation. I avoid all calorific food. I feel so tired that I do not exercise but after reading this post, I want to experience those three things in my life. I WILL take out time for atleast five minute walk every morning. Thanks for the inspiration.
