I so want to be one of those people that intuitively knows how to make a house a home. (I can’t describe the level of crush I have on the Young House Love crew.) You know — decorative pillows that “go” but don’t “match” the couch, curtains that enhance the paint color of the dining room, knick-knacks that seem effortless and just eclectic enough.

But I have a living room set from Rooms to Go (one of those places where you buy the entire set right down to the lamps and tables), frames on the wall that came from a pre-packaged set at Michael’s and a dining room rug that is beige because I couldn’t figure out how to make a pattern work with our tiled floors.

So when I was offered the chance to select and review a piece of art from Alphabet Photography, and I saw how GORGEOUS they are, I took my sad old poster framed “Keep Calm and Carry On” print off the wall and made room for our new focal piece.

Can you see what that says? It might take a moment, because the letters are actually photographs of real things and places from all over the world. (It’s a heart shape, then B-E-L-I-E-V-E, followed by another heart shape.)

The way it works is that you can choose any word or phrase and type it into a special tool on Alphabet’s website and instantly see how it will appear. Want to change one of the letters? It’s simple (and I played around with mine for about 15 minutes before coming up with the final version that you see above).

Why the word “believe?” Well, I originally planned on getting our baby’s name printed for the nursery, but because she was a week late, I had to choose another phrase before the order deadline. I brainstormed a word that means a lot to me and my husband and would inspire me every time I saw it. And it sure has.

The print is hanging in our foyer/hallway next to the front door, where I can see it from almost every seat on the first floor. I look at it while nursing Audrey and find something new to focus on every time.

Alphabet Photography has a whole series of prints that are under $40, and there are a few that I think would make amazing holiday gifts, along with this very cool human alphabet (I think those would be adorable in a nursery):

I have talked a lot about the power of affirmations and positive thinking, and I think it’s so special that you can put something in your space that is beautiful and uplifting at the same time.

The perfect customized gift that includes photographs from all over the world, this is the original Alphabet Photography. Celebrity owners include: Prince Charles, Prince William and Kate, Tyra Banks, Ryan Seacrest, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, John Schneider, Nelly Furtado, and many more!

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Alphabet Photography. The opinions and text are all mine.

I also wish I could intuitively make a house a home. We are trying. I’m working on getting some stuff with photography established so our dining room is currently a little over-furnished. I am hoping in the coming months we can relocate the computer desk into the guest room/office area to give our dining area more breathing room.
