Five for Friday

Can we hear it for handy husbands?

I’m a big believer in girl power, and I know how to do a lot of stuff. I can change my oil, I know my way around a toolbox and I am not intimidated by heavy lifting.

But I admit to getting sexy shivers when my husband works around the house. This week, he saved us at least $500 by fixing our air conditioning unit (I heard muttering about a capacitor and some other parts — I have no idea what that means). And then on Thursday as I headed off to work, he helped me avoid disaster. And he did it in four minutes flat (pun not intended but made me giggle when I typed it).

Who needs AAA??

A big week for me. Tomorrow marks 39 weeks pregnant. Holy moly.

    Heyy Katy!

Thanks so much for including me in your Five For Friday O.P.P.! I need to find me a handy man haha. All for girl power but sometimes it’s nice to have a man who is handy around the house! Yay, for 39 weeks :)

Thank you for including me in this post! Especially because Compassion is an organization I’m so passionate about working with!! Aren’t husbands handy to have around? I’d be lost without mine… literally. I’m not good with directions at all and he’s a map genius.

It is wonderful to have a partner with common sense and ingenuity! and also one who can say, “let’s call a pro”, when necessary:)
I am so proud of you and everything you have learned so far about mama/baby.
Stay with Katy, if she doesn’t know what to do, her inner-sister will.
When I have a doula client, this is the time when I keep a bag packed and in my car. It’s especially important in the summer because sometimes, depending on the hospital, it can get really cold. No fun getting stuck for hours cold without a sweater. I also bring snacks for the new father, they are so focused on what to bring for mom and hospital food=not good. Etc. etc. Can you tell, I am really excited for you and that Josie will get her first cousin from this side.
