Here’s what piqued my curiosity this week!
57 years after her debut, it’s time she got an overhaul. And it’s a good one. I really didn’t play much with Barbies when I was a kid and Audrey is still too young to really want one of the dolls, but this sure makes it easier to say yes if she ever does.
It’s amazing. Watch here:
We never did co-sleeping in our bed with Audrey, because from the first few weeks of life, she slept soundly in the little attached crib next to my bed. Remy is up more frequently and seems to be much calmer when she’s in with us (in fact, I shared some of the details in this snapshot from a day in my life).
The other day, I was bemoaning the fact that our bedroom has become a group hangout when Lucas reminded me that sooner rather than later, I’ll miss these special moments. He’s right, and this article makes it even more clear.
I fear I may lose friends with this, based on how many of them shared this article with statements like “I hate that term!” and “Yeah, right on!” I actually don’t mind the term #GirlBoss, and kind of love its spirit. I feel like I’m a #GirlBoss and that doesn’t make me feel inferior to men.
Having said that, I have always loved Katie Levans’ writing and she makes a good case in this article. Food for thought!
I’m SO into lifting heavy right now. I have limited time and when I go heavy, I need fewer reps plus I’m seeing quick results. It definitely makes me feel like a beautiful beast.
I’m not ashamed to admit: the Dad version of Mark Zuckerberg is crush-worthy. I loved when he announced that he was taking two months of leave to be with his little girl. I loved when he shared that they were getting her vaccines right around the time Remy got her shots. I love all of his quirky little snapshots from his life.
When I was in Vermont for a blogging conference, switchel was everywhere. My sister-in-law lives there and told me that when she was pregnant with my nephew, her doula recommended it as an energy drink. So when my mom came to stay with me to help with Remy’s entrance into the world, she made me a big batch and it was AMAZING. I drank it over ice the day I went into labor and whether or not it helped give me energy, it definitely didn’t hurt.
I love sour stuff: sour beers, kombucha, apple cider vinegar, etc. So this was right up my alley. I love switchel.
Ummmmm, I don’t know that I’m ready to try this but it’s an interesting concept.
