These are some great reads that I hope teach you something, make you smile or inspire you today.
I check my “other” folder when logged into Facebook on my desktop all the time. But apparently, some messages are filtered on mobile, too. I looked and I had a DOZEN legitimate messages waiting for me. Horrifying. Check this today.
I have very, very strong feelings about this (and agree 10000% percent with the post and the author) and have my own version of this message coming soon.
As a blogging and social influencer coach, I struggle with the hype hype hype jargon jargon buy buy sell phenomenon personally and professionally, and I know that my best work and my place in this industry is not to be the “make a million dollars” person. It’s the coach who holds hands and encourages and teaches and yes, helps a client succeed, but in a personal, one-on-one way.
I have come a long way in my own body image and self-confidence but like Sarah, I still struggle when I look at photos of me while running, doing yoga and in candid moments. Having kids has helped a lot — seems backwards, I know — because instead of worrying about what others see, I really just focus on what my girls see. They see a strong, fun, active mom who goes after her goals. Not every day is a great day but Sarah has some important and inspiring words.
(Funny enough, this week I was listed as one of the Top 25 Fit Instagram Moms and my first reaction was to cringe when I saw the amazing women I was grouped with — I’m not worthy!)
From my own experience? YES.
HOW TO (NOT) DO IT ALL WITH TWO KIDS… and How Do I Do it All? (I don’t really) Life as a WAHM with a 6 Month Old
Relate, relate, relate. It’s a grind, each and every day. I tip my camera up during client Skypes to nurse the baby when she’s fussy. I yell more than I’d like. I say no to cool opportunities because I’d much rather snuggle on the couch with the kids watching movies.
It’s hard. Harder than I expected, to go from one to two. But so, so worth it.
I kind of want to take part in an at-home version of this.
I have two mala necklaces and love them. They were both gifts, which makes them even more special and precious.
These last two aren’t reads so much as things I must buy:
I follow this ebook author on Instagram and love her photos. If I could get these abs…yes, please.
This is my cat. And every cat I’ve ever met.
