This is just a quick tip but I share because everyone I’ve talked about it to has responded with…
“OOOOOOOHHHHHH I didn’t know I had that folder!”
or
“Oh my gosh, I have 15 messages that I never saw!”
Did you know that Facebook has an “other” folder where messages go to die? In theory, it’s a spam-blocker (and now that Facebook may charge you to send messages to people, it’s also a money-maker for the company, but I digress since I’ve already said that I would pay for Facebook myself). But it can also send messages that you want to see into the ether.
(For example, I’m in a local mom group on Facebook where people can sell/trade baby items. Since many of us are not friends on Facebook, our messages to each other usually end up in “other.”)
1) Go to your Facebook messages page.
2) At the top/left, you’ll see the word Inbox. Just to the right, you’ll see the word Other. Click on it.
TA DA! From there, you have a few new options. You can send an “other” message to your main inbox or you change your settings to be a little less aggressive with the filtering.
